About Department

Department of Sports Management within the body of the School of Sports Sciences and Technology aims that its students obtain the knowledge and skills related to basic business and management as well as that they are able to acquire the vision which will help them relate this background to sports. Having within its structure Turkey’s leading academics in the fields of Communication, Business, Finance, Law, Psychology that are closely related to sports, BİLGİ offers a new curriculum in light of the courses that are given by these estimable names in their departments in the field of sports.

The purpose of the Department of Sports Management is to raise managers that will take position in every level of the sector, starting with the idea that sports is a sector in its own right. The department includes subjects such as introduction to individual sports and team sports, sports media, sports law, sponsorship agreements in sports, international sports legislation, the basics of business, health psychology, sports activities and organization, business communication, marketing techniques in sports and market analysis in sports. 

The Program is conducted in cooperation with Sportsnet, therefore the students will be able to take part in many elite sports organizations such as TEB BNP Paribas İstanbul Open (ATP), TEB BNP İstanbul Cup (WTA) and World Beach Volleyball Championship. The graduates will also have the opportunity to work in Sportsnet Group firms. 


The Undergraduate Program in Sports Management which is under the Department of Sports Management admits students with special aptitude test.
