About Department

Within the Sports Management Program affiliated with the Department of Sports Management of the School of Sports Sciences and Technology established with the collaboration of İstanbul Bilgi University and Sportsnet Group in the 2015-2016 Academic Year, students will acquire the knowledge and skills related to basic management theories as well as the vision to relate these experiences to sports. 

Our department, including Turkey's leading academics is sports and related fields such as communication, management and finance, offers a new curriculum that these valuable faculty members teach in their own specialized fields. 

With the idea that sport is an industry independently, it is aimed to educate the managers who will take place in the management levels of this sector. In the Sports Management Department, topics include such as introduction to individual sports and team sports, sports media, sports law, sports sponsorship agreements, international sport legislation, foundations of the business, health psychology, sports events and organization, business communication, sports marketing techniques and sports market analysis.

In the program run by the collaboration with Sportsnet Group, students can take part in many elite sports organizations such as TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Open (ATP), TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Cup (WTA) and TEB Tennis Stars Series. Sports Management Undergraduate Program admits students with Special Talent Examination. English Preparatory Program is obligatory; 30% of the department curriculum is in English.
