Bilateral Student Exchange Programs are based on official agreements BİLGİ has signed with partner universities in other countries. Students accepted for such exchange programs may attend the partner university for either one semester or a full academic year. Undergraduate students must have completed one full year of their academic program at BİLGİ before applying for an exchange. Students must return to their home university at the end of the exchange period and complete their program of study there. Credits obtained from the partner university are applied towards graduation in the student's home university, subject to the approval of relevant BİLGİ units.
The Bilateral Exchange Program at BİLGİ is managed by the Erasmus Office at the institutional level. The Erasmus Office is responsible for the agreements, announcements, applications, selection of students etc. Also every BİLGİ department has a coordinator, responsible for academic advising.
