revised: 02.11.2017

Date: November 5, 2017
Time: 16.00-19.00
Place: santralistanbul Campus, E1-301

Tomorrow is Better is organizing “We’ve Got Talent Festival” for school children across Istanbul with the aim of giving each child a sense of belonging, accomplishment and connection.

The event will reach out especially to Syrian children aged 6-14, through the fields of painting, story and song. Children will participate to the festival with their works in their special interest, either in painting, story-telling or singing around the theme of “dream”.  Children will present their works at the festival.

The “Tomorrow is Better” programme encourages the formation of group identity across diverse social sectors, building teamwork and problem-solving skills. The programme uses a variety of methods to emphasize the importance of creativity, art, music and cultural sharing in problem-solving processes that lead towards a common, open-minded and peaceful coexistence. It encompasses mechanisms to exchange cultural events (food, music, art, etc.) and to provide a uniting platform for refugees and their new society in order to integrate and to share experiences and skills.

*Event languages will be Arabic, English, and Turkish with consecutive translation.
