Istanbul Bilgi University and Cologne University have worked in cooperation to organize a master program to be jointly conducted in Germany and Turkey. As a result of these efforts, Istanbul Bilgi University and Cologne University Law Faculties are offering the LLM in Turkish-German Business Law as of the 2010-2011 academic year.
The Program is the first joint bilingual law program that will be conducted in Turkish and German and stands out with its international character. The Program was accredited in 2009 in Germany and has also been approved by the Turkish Council of Higher Education.
The goal of the Program is to provide its graduates an opportunity to carry their activities and efforts in the field of business law to an international plane through the high-level education that is to be given in two countries. In line with this goal, four different areas of concentration are offered: Corporate Law, Capital Markets and Consumer Law, Competition and Intellectual Property Law, International Trade Law. Through the courses they select, students will not only learn about the Turkish and German Laws but will also get the opportunity to perceive their links to European Union Business Law.
