The goal of the Master Program in Law at Istanbul Bilgi University is to provide students with an education enabling them to understand the nature and course of development of law at national and international levels, to identify current legal problems caused by globalization and to gain an interdisciplinary perspective necessary to solve the confronted issues. The Program, with its wide range of elective courses, aims at informing students about emerging fields of law and novelties in fundamental fields. Our desire is to provide students with new career opportunities and to create an academic contribution of international standards.
The Program offers 65 courses given by qualified academicians and practitioners. Most of these courses are electives allowing the students to choose a path of study of their interest. Thanks to the wide range of courses, students get the opportunity to intensify their knowledge in law in a broad array of subjects and to concentrate on specific fields. Our goal is to raise students who are capable of adapting to the rapid changes in the science of law and who are able to create solutions not only to present but also to future problems.
Beside law school graduates, the Program is also open to students that have graduated from other schools. Yet, while law school graduates will earn an LLM degree upon the completion of the Program, non-law school graduates will earn an MA.
