Laboratories

Anatomy Laboratory: This laboratory contains highly realistic simulated models of human body parts and organs to enable students to perform practical studies in anatomy. There are both model samples of human body organs and detailed posters illustrating the systems and organs of the human body.

Biology Laboratory: The applied practice of the medical biology, microbiology, food microbiology, physiology and parasitology courses takes place in this laboratory.

Exercise Physiology Laboratory: This laboratory is used to conduct the practics for the integrative aspects of physiology of sport and exercise and helps students' understanding of the regulation and adaptation of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems to exercise and training, as well as the physiological limitations to human performance. The laboratory is equipped with the following: Cosmed Pulmonary Function Testing Unit, treadmill, stepper, complex Winplate exercise unit, vertical ergocycle, horizontal Ergocyle, pulley system with weights, digital inclinometer, hand dynomometer, pinchmeter, Lafayette manual muscle tester, blood pressure testing units and stethoscopes. 

Physics Laboratory: Practical applications of the Physics course are conducted in this laboratory.

Principles of Nursing Laboratory: Practical applications of the Principles of Nursing class are conducted in this laboratory.

Hydrotherapy Laboratory: This laboratory contains the hydrotherapeutic equipment needed to perform the applied practice for the hydrotherapy course. Treatment agents include hot-packs, whirlpool, paraffin, a fluidotherapy device and swimming pool (25m x 12.5m, 1.55-2.35 depth).

Hand Rehabilitation Laboratory: This laboratory is used to perform practical applications of special treatment methods and technics used in hand rehabilitation. Equipment includes: therapy system cart table, Baseline hand evaluation set,  hand dynamometer, pinchmeter, digitometer,  digital compass measure, two-point discriminator, Pinwheel sensitivity test, Thera-band progressive hand exercise bands (full set), Thera-band hand exercise balls (full set), Theraputty, Cando digi-extend ditigal extension with resistance (full set),  Cando-web digital strengthening (full set), Cando-Digiflex digital flexion strengthening (full set) and a fluidotherapy device.

Heat, Light and Electrotherapy Agents Laboratory: This laboratory is used for the applications of the Heat and Light Therapy and Electrotherapy courses. Equipment in the laboratory includes electro shock wave, magnethotherapy, combined electrotherapy, ultrasound, vacuum interferential, tens, laser,  infrared, ultraviolet and fluidotherapy devices.

Chemistry Laboratory: Practical applications of the general chemistry, organic chemistry,  biochemistry and nutritional chemistry conducted here.

Kitchen: Practical applications of the principles of nutrition course are conducted in this laboratory.

Rehabilitation Laboratory: This is the treatmant laboratory used to conduct the treatment methods and techniques used in the practice of the Rehabilitation courses. Equipment includes wooden treatment table, Bobath treatment table, parallel bars, exercise stairs, exercise mats, postural analysis mirror, traction table, traction accessory pckage, clinical cervical traction system, negatoscope, shoulder wheel, pulley reel, Sit-and-Reach test equipment, dumbell set, sandbag set, Bobath exercise ball set, Theraband full set is included in this laboratory, as well as standing table, standable motorized wheel chair, threshhold ramp, wheel chairs with and without neck support, articulated walker, auxillary crutches, Canadian crutches, quadripod cane, tripod cane, single cane, triple screens, steps, plastic cushion set including cubes, cylinders, triangles and half-cylinders.
