As indicated in its mission statement, İstanbul Bilgi University endeavours to implement and maintain international standards in the study of social and communication sciences, arts and humanities, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The agreement with the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and İstanbul Bilgi University is a reflection of this perspective. LSE, a lead college of the University of London, is considered to be one of the world’s most reputable schools in the social sciences and economics.
The External Program of the University of London, established in 1858, is one of the earliest examples of university degrees made accessible to students who wish to pursue a degree by private study. The academic standard of University of London degrees obtained through the External system is the same as that attained by Internal students. In many countries graduates of the External Program occupy senior positions in government, the professions, commerce and industry. The value of a University of London degree is recognised around the world.
The Honors Program aims to combine the experience and expertise of the London School of Economics with İstanbul Bilgi University’s ambition to become the leading social sciences university in Turkey. Students who are accepted to the program will enjoy the benefits of being educated at the highest international academic standards.
Program Coordinator - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Göksel Aşan
