PhD in Organisation Studies is a four-year programme. During first four semesters of their studies students are expected to take 7 courses. Only after the successful completion of these courses (total of 21 credits) students can be entitled to take the proficiency exam which is composed of two parts; written and oral. Subsequently successful students can commence dissertation that is comprised of a proposal, literature review and research.

PhD studies will be completed by the submission of dissertation and a research paper prepared for publication; both of them are to be accepted by the jury members appointed by Istanbul Bilgi University Social Sciences Institute.
