Eligibility Requirements

Documents required for applications:

  • Application forms (Application form must be completed online and submitted until the application deadline together with the other application documents)
  • Copy of undergraduate diploma
  • Copy of undergraduate transcript
  • Copy of graduate diploma, graduation certificate or a document stating the candidate is expected to graduate until the registration deadline (this document must be obtained from the Deans Office or the Institute)
  • Copy of scores on ALES (verbal or equal weight) ≥ 65, GRE (quantitative) ≥ 660 or GMAT ≥ 483
  • English Proficiency
    For English;
    TOEFL IBT ≥ 72 or 
    IELTS ≥ 6 or 
    YDS ≥ 60

    For German;
    YDS ≥ 87 or
    DSH ≥ 65/100 or
    TestDaF 4 or Goethe – Zertifikat C II: Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung or
    Kleines Sprachdiplom Stufe II

    For French;
    YDS ≥ 87 or
    DALF C1 certificate
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Copy of Graduate thesis or project
  • 2 letters of recommendation

Application forms must be completed online. A hard-copy of this online application form must then be submitted to the Ph.D. in Public Law – Program Secretariat together with the supporting application documents until the deadline.

Based on the application requirements, applicants will be evaluated on their language score and written and oral exam results.
