The invention titled ‘Three-Dimensional Scanning System’, one of the inventors of which is Assoc. Prof. Yiğit Dağhan Gökdel from BİLGİ Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Electrical-Electronics Engineering was registered as a patent by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
As part of the invention, a low-cost, fast-producible scanning system for probes used in three-dimensional imaging of tissues, especially suitable for production through additive manufacturing methods, was developed. The developed scanning system provides a higher scanning depth than common microelectromechanical systems.
