Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) Awards

International TÜBA Academy Prizes

Since 2015, TÜBA grants International TÜBA Academy Prizes in appreciation and encouragement of scientist. Awards are annually awarded to three of the nominated scientists each being in one of the following categories of sciences namely “Basic and Engineering Sciences”, “Health and Life Sciences” and “Social Sciences and Humanities.” Every year one of the prizes is alternately awarded in three areas to scientists with Turkish connection, meaning those who work in Turkey and/or study Turkey.

Studies of nominees are evaluated by a Prize Committee in each category, taking the opinions of national and international peer-reviewers. Committees’ proposals after evaluation processes are submitted to the Academy Council and the Academy Council selects the award-winners.

TÜBA-The Young Scientists Award Programme (GEBİP)

Launched in 2001, Turkish Academy of Sciences The Young Scientist Award Programme (TÜBA-GEBİP) aims to foster young, outstanding scientists, to reinforce engagements in the field of academy and to get them support academically and financially.

TÜBA-GEBİP Awards is open to application by the scientists younger than 39, studying in all disciplines, who have received degree of specialty in health sciences and doctoral degree in other fields, working in Turkey or decided to work in Turkey. Since 2018, it was decided to add one more year to the 39-age-level for each childbearing for female nominees.

TÜBA-University Textbooks Award Programme (TESEP)

TÜBA, with University Textbooks Award Programme (TÜBA-TESEP), aims to encourage qualified textbook writing in Turkish language. The Award Programme welcomes application for original textbooks that are studied or available to study at all levels in universities.
