BİLGİ Department of Architecture students received third prize in Çuhadaroğlu 2023 Student Projects Competition
BİLGİ Department of Architecture students Deniz Kantar, Zeynep Zorlu, Miray Şimşek, and Yade Sıla Kahraman received third prize in Çuhadaroğlu 2023 Student Projects Competition organized with the theme ‘Semtli.’ A total of 38 projects prepared by students from different universities were evaluated as part of the competition.
In their projects, BİLGİ Department of Architecture students designed housing units by examining the orchard, neighborhood, and neighborhood relations that construct the identity of Kuzguncuk neighborhood and made suggestions for the public spaces that relate to the different building blocks making up the fabric of the neighborhood.
The project was awarded the third prize by the jury for its efforts to read and understand the city, for addressing the architectural space with an original tectonic construction, and for the maturity of the ideas regarding the material at hand.
