WASC Senior College and University Commission
İstanbul Bilgi University has been entitled to receive WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) accreditation, one of the leading and most significant higher education quality certificates, until 2027. With this document of quality granted as a result of WSCUC’s assessment of many documents and the accreditation process, İstanbul Bilgi University has become the first higher education instutition that has been accredited by WSCUC and also the first university that has received an international institutional accreditation in Turkey. Thanks to this accreditation, the continuity of our quality standards in every area, particularly in education and student experience, are guaranteed in the light of WSCUC criteria.

CEA (Commission on English Language Program Accreditation)
Following the five-year initial accreditation granted by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA) in 2015, İstanbul Bilgi University English Preparatory Program is reaccreditated by CEA for the period August 2021 through August 2031 and agrees to uphold the CEA Standards for English Language Programs and Institutions. CEA is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency for English language programs and institutions in the U.S. For further information about this accreditation, please contact CEA, 1001 N. International Family Therapy Association (IFTA)
The Couples and Family Therapy track within the İstanbul Bilgi University Clinical Psychology Graduate Program had become, in 2015, the first and only program in Turkey to be accredited by the International Systemic Therapy Training Accreditation Committee of the International Family Therapy Association (IFTA). The accreditation has been renewed for 2018-2021.
MÜDEK (Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs)
Five undergraduate programs of İstanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (Computer, Electrical and Electronics, Energy Systems, Industrial, Genetics and Bioengineering) have been accredited by MÜDEK until 30 September 2020. MÜDEK (Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs) is an institution fully authorized to provide accreditation by the Council of Higher Education.
BİLGİ History has been accredited by the leading accreditation association FEDEK-Science, Literature, Faculty of Science and Letters, History and Geography Curriculum Programs Assessment and Accreditation Association.
Carrying out accreditation, evaluation and notification studies for Science, Literature, Science-Literature, Faculties of Language, History and Geography (will be called as Faculty of Science and Letters (FSL)) which are in different disciplines FEDEK will contribute to the increase the quality of higher education in Turkey.
In FEDEK accreditation, programs are assessed according to such criteria as the success of the students registered in the program, program curriculum purposes, program outputs, curriculum plan, academic staff, management structure and program infrastructure.
