The 2026–2027 Academic Year Calendar has been updated in line with the decision of the Council of Higher Education

In line with the notification received from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), our 2026–2027 Academic Calendar has been revised. This revision has been made at the request of the Ministry of Youth and Sports due to the 2027 European Games, which will be hosted by Türkiye in Istanbul between 16–27 June 2027. 

The Council of Higher Education has approved, only for the 2026–2027 Academic Year, the implementation of a 12-week (60 working days) semester, excluding examination periods, provided that program qualifications, course learning outcomes, practical training, laboratory and clinical applications, and all other academic requirements are fully met; educational quality is maintained; and the process is monitored within the framework of the University's internal quality assurance system.

Accordingly, at our University, course registration and the start of the Fall Semester have been brought forward by one week, and the other dates in the academic calendar have also been revised. Course registration for the 2026–2027 Fall Semester will take place between 14–18 September 2026, and the semester will begin on 21 September 2026.
