TÜBİTAK support for electromagnet system project for use in particle accelerators
The project titled “Design and Development of a Sextupole Magnet Prototype with Highly Symmetric Polarity Reversal for Accelerator Applications,” led by Asst. Prof. Okan Zafer Batur from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at our University’s Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, has been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 1002-A Rapid Support Program.
As part of the project, a novel electromagnet system based on flexible electronic circuit technology will be developed for use in particle accelerators. Designed for advanced physics experiments, the system aims to enable highly precise and repeatable control of the magnetic field. The project will also involve the development of a programmable current source to provide precise control of the electromagnet.
