About the Program
The aim of the BİLGİ Genetic and Bioengineering Undergraduate Program is to educate students who can identify, analyze, and solve problems in the field of bioengineering, and who are equipped with fundamental knowledge and skills in mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering.
The program aims to enable students to develop new knowledge, ideas, and products in industry, academia, or the public sector, and to work effectively and successfully in both local and international teams. It also seeks to cultivate individuals who can communicate their ideas effectively, provide consultancy, collaborate with others, and embrace lifelong learning.
Our department is committed to educating bioengineers who are aware of their professional and social responsibilities, adhere to ethical values, demonstrate professionalism, and possess a strong sense of social responsibility.
The Genetic and Bioengineering Program educates bioengineers with strong professional competencies, a broad perspective, sensitivity to local and global challenges, respect for ethical values, and a high level of social responsibility.
*Students currently enrolled in the program will continue their education under the 2025–2026 academic curriculum and, upon meeting the required academic conditions, will graduate with a "Genetics and Bioengineering" degree and diploma. The Genetics and Bioengineering Program will not admit new students as of the 2026–2027 Academic Year.
