Ruma Sen is Professor of Global Communication and Media at Ramapo College of New Jersey. She is a feminist ethnographer whose research areas include globalization and transnational migration, and the impact of race, class and ethnicity on identity constructions. Her recent publications focus on re-reading nation and masculinity in the South Asian diaspora, and on Bollywood as a paradigm for global Indian identity.
