Under the Executive Directorship of David Damrosch, Professor of Comparative Literature at Harvard University, and hosted by Murat Belge, Professor of Comparative Literature at İstanbul Bilgi University, the Institute for World Literature is a month-long (June 25-July 20, 2012) immersive course for graduate students, college and university faculty, and scholars in the methods and texts of World Literature. During four weeks at the premier university of one of the world’s greatest cities, Istanbul, participants will explore a variety of topics in seminars and lectures, led by some of the leading scholars of World Literature, including:

• Ileana Orlich, Arizona State University
• Orhan Pamuk, Istanbul, and Columbia University
• Jale Parla, İstanbul Bilgi University
