The 17th Conference of the Parties emphasized that developing countries should take responsibility as well in reducing the emissions of greenhouse gases by 2020. The aim of the project sponsored by İstanbul Bilgi University and carried out by the Center for Environment, Energy and Sustainability Studies is to explore public preferences for climate policy instruments. The outcomes of the survey, which was conducted to 1,250 individuals in 16 cities will be presented and the carbon footprint of İstanbul Bilgi University voluntarily calculated by Gaia Carbon Finance will be debated.
