Everyone has a sexual identity and sexual orientation. Everybody has different opinions and experiences about being woman or man. When someone’s sexual identity and/or orientation do not fit the expectations of the society s/he may be expected to change or hide them. If s/he does not obey s/he might be excluded or abused. If the negative ideas of the society are internalized one can be ashamed of her/himself to a great extent. 

Gaining knowledge about sexual identity and sexual orientation will be helpful for the participants to understand not only themselves but also other people. Following subjects will be mentioned and questions of the audience will be answered during the seminar.

What is sexual identity, how does it develop? What does femininity and masculinity mean? What is sexual orientation and what defines it? Myths and wrong beliefs about lesbian, gay, bisexuality and trans sexuality Coming Out Heterosexism and Homophobia
