Enhancing Student Performance: Feedback and Assessment

Universtiy of London International Programmes (EMFSS)

This event builds on the 1st symposium held in Kuala Lumpur last year and is aimed at EMFSS teaching staff and colleagues involved in teaching and managing the programmes.

There will be subject-specific sessions with guide authors and examiners who will talk about revisions to guides, examinations, and best practice in preparing students for examinations. The key sessions include Business and Management, Economics, Statistics and Sociology with a focus on the new guides.

The learning and teaching focus at BİLGİ will be giving feedback to students. Many colleagues have asked how to ensure that feedback given on written work and mid-term exams can best be focused to prepare students for success in their final assessments.

We will be looking at these issues in a series of workshops.

There will also be sessions on the new International Foundation Programme (IFP) as well as a forum for managers, designed to facilitate interaction between colleagues who manage programme delivery in teaching institutions and the LSE International Programmes team.
