Exhibition: "Formsless"

The exhibition which has the theme of “Fluid Reality in New Media Art”, hosts artists from Turkey and Serbia. The curators of this exhibition are Derya Yücel and Una Popović.

The exhibition gets its title from Georges Bataille whose theorized “L’informe/Formless”. It’s focusing on the works of Serbian and Turkish artists who include new media. According to the curators, the concept of “Formless” stands out as a metaphor, which can define both the contemporary world and the contemporary art. 

In this context “Formless”, makes connection between our perception of reality, which converted fluidic experience, and new media art practice, which is produces changeable forms.

In the exhibition which is organized by İstanbul Bilgi University, Arts and Cultural Management Program and Museum of Contemporary Art Belgrade cooperation; Ansen Atilla, Barış Mengütay, Dejan Grba, Dorijan Kolundžija, Elif Öner-Vincent Rozenberg, Gizem Karakaş, Nemanja Lađić, Ozan Türkkan, Stevan Kojić, Yağız Özgen, Yetkin Yılmaz/Decol and Zorica Čolić’s artworks on new media to be showed.

On Monday 12 May 2014, at 18.00, in the entrance of santralistanbul Campus Energy Museum, the exhibition will meet its visitors.

Within the exhibition, on Thursday 22 May 2014, between 10.00-14.00 there will also be a speech in the conference room. Exhibition management was part of the course Arts and Cultural Management Program ART311-312.
