This workshop is organized by İstanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Communication-Visual Communication Design Program in cooperation with IIDj-Institute for Information Design Japan (Tokyo).

İstanbul Style Guide invites all people for a free workshop on creating a friend-sourced bi-lingual İstanbul app. 

The number of participants is limited to 20.

What you learn?
Developing editorial concepts
Wire-framing a universal app for pc/smart-devices
Scouting people / neighborhoods / locations with camera and pen
Using GoogleDocs for content management
Developing a hybrid app using php/html/css/javascript

What we expect from you?
Trained eye / mind for capturing and communicating İstanbul's people and scenes
Basic knowledge of web-technologies
Ttime (we gather once a day @ BİLGİ)

PROGRAM:

March 16: 
Briefing, introduction to our approach, get to know each other
Informal gathering with snacks

March 17-24:
Scouting people / neighborhoods / locations with camera and pen
Alone or in groups
We will get together each of these days at 1700 @ BILGI for review/consultation

March 20:
Intermediate presentation
Detailing of content
Assigning of tasks/responsibilities for production

March 24-27:
Editing, translating, proofing, coding, documenting

March 28:
Presentation with invited guests from media and the travel industry
Release party
