The first general gathering of the lead authors of the International Panel on Social Progress (IPSP), comprised of more than 200 social issues experts across the world. The meeting aims at restoring hope in social progress while stimulating intellectual and public debates about the long-term evolution of societies over the world. 

There will be two public lectures during the conference. A lecture will be given on an economic topic. The other discussion will be on the topic: “Globalization: Good or Evil?”, by Akeel Bilgrami and Saskia Sassen, both professors at Columbia University and members of the Committee on Global Thought.
