Date: November 19-20, 2015
Place:  Grand Hyatt Hotel

Dispute Boards (DB) are recognized worldwide for their effectiveness in the real time avoidance and resolution of disputes on major projects. Embraced by government agencies, private owners, and multilateral development banks, Dispute Boards ensure project success through significant decreases in costs and time overruns. International experience is that the vast majority of projects with DBs settle disputes without litigation or arbitration.

The largest and pre-eminent professional group of Dispute Board users and practitioners in the world, the DRBF will present an interactive workshop and conference focused on the application of Dispute Boards in Turkey and the surrounding region, as well as best practices from international practitioners.

The conference will also cover regional legislative developments and perspective on overcoming legal challenges in the region. International and local DB users (project owners and contractors) and experienced practitioners will share their insight on best practices and lessons learned. The first day offers workshops for introductory or advanced users and Dispute Board practitioners, and Day 2 will deal in some depth with the dispute avoidance role of DBs, ICC Rules, implemetation of the process and DB procedures in practice.
