Marine litter is a global concern, affecting all the oceans of the world. Every year, millions and millions of tons of litter end up in the ocean worldwide, posing environmental, economic, health and aesthetic problems. Across the world, plastics make up 85% of marine litter. Tackling marine pollution is high on the EU's agenda.

Within the scope of the European Union Climate Diplomacy Week, EU Delegation to Turkey will make a workshop aiming to raise awareness to plastic usage, in collaboration with, In-Between Design Platform and Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Architecture Industrial Design Department. During the workshop which will be held under the leadership of designer Pınar Akkurt, design students will create pinwheels as an example of the transformation of plastic bottles into products that we can adapt to our daily lives.

Participants will be selected, among the applications from Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Architecture Industrial Design Department, in order of priority.

To apply: info@in-between.online
