BİLGİ Sports Management students represented Turkey in Sportspro Hackathon 2021  in which students produce alternative solutions to environmental and economic issues. BİLGİ Students competed with other students from 8 leading universities in the world at the SportsPro Hackathon, which was organized for the first time this year by SportsPro, the media company that focuses on the business, commerce, and governance aspects of global sports.

Uniting top students from all over the world to compete against one another in a three-day hackathon, SportsPro Hackathon gives participating students an opportunity to broaden their knowledge about social and ecological issues and engage with the leaders in these areas.

In addition to BİLGİ Sports Management Department, students from Sheffield Hallam University, International Center for Sports Studies (FIFA CIES), Liverpool University, Adelphi University, Syracuse University, Coventry University, Columbia University, and Ohio University participated in the competition. Perfectly summed up by mentor, Michael Cole, "I was incredibly impressed with the quality of projects from the students – their creativity and ground-breaking concepts are essential for the future well-being of the sporting industry. This initiative provided an unequivocal ability to bring fresh insight and conceptual development into our world. These are undeniably the future leaders in the business of sport."

We wish our students, who participated in the competition, continued success.
