BİLGİ students received second prize in AI in ESG Investing organized by CFA Poland.

In ‘AI in ESG Investing’ Competition organized for the first time by CFA Poland, Caner Bal from BİLGİ International Finance Master’s Program and Mert Koçoğlu from BİLGİ Financial Economics Master’s Program, who represented Turkey, received second prize.

Bringing together finance and artificial intelligence in graduate programs in Turkey for the first time, BİLGİ was among the 28 universities that were qualified to compete in Europe. BİLGİ competed with 44 teams that represented these universities.

Having developed a scoring index for companies in the sustainable investment sector by using artificial intelligence methods, the students first presented their ideas with regard to innovative scoring variables that have never been used in the world before. In the second phase, the ideas that were chosen were tested with financial and artificial intelligence methods. Having competed with 5 teams from Poland, Italy, and Slovakia, BİLGİ received second prize and won 2000 euro prize money and earned the right to do internship in partner firms.
