This year BİFED meets the audience with the theme ‘Green Justice and Peace’

Bozcaada International Festival of Ecological Documentary (BİFED) supported by BİLGİ Faculty of Communication is going to take place in Bozcaada between October 12-16 with the theme ‘Green Justice and Peace.’

Taking place with the organization of Bozcaada Municipality, coordinated by BİLGİ Faculty of Communication faculty member Ethem Özgüven and directed by Petra Holzer, BİFED, a member of Green Film Network (GFN) is organized for the 9th time this year.

In 2022, more than 1000 films applied to the festival from 101 countries and a wide variety of issues such as the resistance stories of local people, climate crisis, organic agriculture, and the refugee problem in Africa stand out in the festival’s program. In the Main Competition category of the festival, 15 films will meet with the audience. Panorama category includes 20 films and Turkish Panorama category includes 10 films. Films addressing and looking for solutions for the shared questions and problems pertaining to the nature and humanity from all over the world in their own language and style will compete for Fethi Kayaalp Grand Prize.

In addition to documentary screenings, workshops, panels, interviews, and activities focusing on climate crisis will also take place as part of BİFED.
