BİLGİ Department of Arts and Cultural Management faculty member and UNESCO Chair in Cultural Policy and Cultural Diplomacy Assoc. Prof. Serhan Ada has been nominated as a new member of the Scientific Council of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Venice. Ada’s nomination is effective as of January 1, 2023 and he shall carry out this duty for two years.

One of the governance mechanisms of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture along with the Steering Committee, Scientific Council’s main task is to evaluate the action proposals for the implementation by the Regional Bureau.

UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture aims to contribute to the advancement of the overall UNESCO programme by fostering development, dialogue, reconciliation, and cooperation in South-East Europe and Mediterranean basin through specialized as well as interdisciplinary actions in the field of culture and natural sciences.
