2017-2018 Academic Year Study & Traineeship Exchange Programs Grant Results

Dear Students,

 

Please read this announcement carefully until the end. 2017-2018 Academic Year Erasmus+ Exchange and Placement budget has been announced by the Turkish National Agency. Grant allocation criteria for 2017-2018 Academic Year has been determined by Istanbul Bilgi University’s Erasmus Commission on August 15th, 2017 and is explained here below. 

 

The National Agency has just announced via e-mail that the total grant amount which is going to be distributed to İstanbul Bilgi University. İstanbul Bilgi University has not received the grant in cash yet. Afterwords, the contract will be signed between Bilgi and Turkish National Agency and the total grant will be transferred to Bilgi’s account within 45 days after the contract is fully signed. As soon as we receive the grant, we are going to transfer the first part of the grants to the students. When the first part of the grants are transferred, it will be announced. Please wait for our mass announcement about grants instead of sending separate e-mails.

 

 

Since Bilgi allocated the total grant effectively previous years, as Bilgi we received well enough grant this year. Thus, we will be able to allocate grants for all placed (Fall, Spring, Full Year Students+ Full Internship Period for Internship Students) students. Congratulations. We would like to draw your attention to the articles about grants below:

 

The grant allocation will be based upon the Erasmus Score, according to the  “Exchange Period/Total Mobility Days” of the students who will participate to the Erasmus+ Mobility Programs in 2017-2018 Academic Year. The list of the students and grant results is attached below to this announcement.

 

Firstly 70% total grants will be paid. At the end of your mobility, 30% of your grant will be transferred if you complete your all documents and achieve the required academic success*.

 

The anticipated grant calculations are made based upon the mobility days in the  acceptance letters sent by partner universities/academic calendars of partner universities. The final grant will be re-calculated after the end of mobility based upon the confirmation of participation document. The rest of the grant will be transferred after and accordingly to this re-calculation. The grants will be calculated based upon monthly grant tables in the “Montly Grant Standards” file attached.

 

Students who would like to cancel their mobilities after the announcement of grant allocation results should fill in and sign the related cancellation letter in the attachment and submit to our office no later than August  25th, 2017 Friday at 17:00. (Attachment 2 – A/B ). If a student cancel her/his mobility after this deadline, according to the program rules -10 points will be  reducted out of  his/her total Erasmus Grand for the next year Erasmus application.

 

Students who will participate the program for full year and would like to shorten their mobility’s and cancel their spring semester have to fill out and sign the “Semester Shortening” petition in the attachment and submit to our office no later than December  25th, 2017 Monday at 17:00. Otherwise you may face with difficulties during Spring Semester course registrations (Attachment 3).

 

Within the next days, students will be entered to the OLS system and system will send an automatic online language exam (OLS) to your bilgiedu.net extension e-mails. Please check your e-mails regularly including SPAM/JUNK folders. Taking online language exam (OLS) is compulsory for all students who will participate the program. The exam will first be sent to Fall, Full Year and work placement students. We will inform the students who will attend the program for Spring Semester in the orientation in detail. The deduction will be applied to the grants of students who do not complete their exams before their departure.

 

 

The grant agreements will be signed between 21 August  - 25 August  2017, between 10:00 – 16:00 in our office, International center. The grants cannot be transferred without signing the agreement. Since the grant agreement is an official document, it has to be originally signed. We would like to emphasize two important points to have an effective grant agreement signature period;

The Grant Agreement is a document which has to be prepared by International Center. Grant agreements will be prepared separately for each student and submitted to signature.
The signature signing period given below is only for the Fall and Full Academic Year students. Further information, required documents and grant agreement announcements will be made later for Spring Semester students. 

 

In order to receive the grant, as it stated before you need to open a EURO bank account at Garanti Bank and send the below information to erasmus@bilgi.edu.tr  no later than August  25th, 2017.  If you send your bank account information beforehand, there is no need for re-sending.
