In today’s communication environment, brands can achieve success by building creative, strategic, and data-driven relationships with their target audiences. The Department of Advertising at İstanbul Bilgi University aims to educate students not only for today’s communication landscape but also as professionals who will help shape the future of marketing communication.

Through its innovative educational approach that combines creativity with data and analytical thinking, the department enables students to develop competencies in strategic planning, copywriting, creative content production, campaign design, visual communication, and digital advertising. Its interdisciplinary curriculum provides students with a broad perspective ranging from marketing to design and supports them in learning and applying the principles of marketing communication in integrated ways.

Throughout their education, students work with both academics and leading industry professionals, develop campaigns for real clients, and build strong professional portfolios. Extensive internship opportunities, brand collaborations, and mentorship experiences allow students to gain hands-on industry experience before graduation.

In the later years of the program, students establish their own agency structures within the Young Advertising Professionals practice platform, where they develop real projects and experience professional production processes firsthand. In addition, Erasmus exchange opportunities and international academic partnerships enable students to engage with global communication environments.

In the final stage of their education, students specialize according to their interests by selecting one of three project tracks: entrepreneurship, creative production, or academic writing, allowing them to align their studies with their career goals.

Graduates of our department enter the field as communication professionals who are creative thinkers, data-informed decision makers, ethically responsible communicators, technologically adaptable, and entrepreneurially oriented.
