Today’s world is being reshaped by accelerating technological transformations, particularly digitalization and artificial intelligence. This transformation is not only altering technological infrastructures but also fundamentally changing the ways knowledge is produced, how work is carried out, and the dynamics of social interaction. While political, economic, and social changes are turning communication into a multi-layered, dynamic, and strategic field, a continuous network of interaction is emerging among diverse actors, platforms, and discourses. Nevertheless, human beings remain at the center of communication. The ability to empathize, develop ethical awareness, think critically, and create meaning constitutes the foundation of this transformation. Therefore, today’s communication professionals are expected not only to use technology effectively but also to be human-centered, responsible, and creative thinkers.

The Department of Communication Design and Management offers an educational approach that responds to these multidimensional needs. The Public Relations and Publicity, and the Communication Design and Management programs within the department are structured as two distinct fields, each offering opportunities for specialization. This structure enables students to gain competence in both strategic communication management and creative content production and design. Throughout their education, students engage not only with theoretical knowledge but also with current industry practices; through courses, workshops, and seminars conducted with industry professionals, they closely follow contemporary developments. By actively participating in real projects, they develop critical skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and project management.

Our department provides students with mentorship and collaboration opportunities through its strong industry connections. Through project-based work and practice-oriented courses, students gain professional experience before graduation and begin to build their own career networks. As a result, our graduates enter professional life equipped not only with knowledge but also with experience and connections.

Our educational philosophy is grounded in an approach that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application, encourages critical thinking, and places participation at its core. We aim to cultivate individuals with a strong sense of social responsibility, sensitivity to ethical values, and a commitment to lifelong learning. In line with this vision, our department seeks to educate professionals who can adapt to a changing world, generate innovation, and transform communication.
