LSE General Course

Our students study in the Economics, Management, Finance and the Social Sciences (EMFSS) programmes offered by the University of London, with academic direction from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

In addition to studying at our University while benefiting from LSE’s academic resources, students who meet the academic requirements may apply to the LSE General Course, which offers them the opportunity to spend an academic year at LSE’s campus in London during their final year of study.

Established in 1910, the LSE General Course is a prestigious and selective international programme that offers students the opportunity to spend an academic year at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Students selected for the programme have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in the social sciences and are typically ranked among the top 10% of students at their home universities.

LSE Summer School

Our students enrolled in the University of London’s Economics, Management, Finance and the Social Sciences (EMFSS) programmes can attend the Summer School offered by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) to further their academic development. Held between June and August, LSE Summer School is one of the most comprehensive international academic programmes of its kind.

The Summer School offers EMFSS students a range of academic and professional development opportunities:

Course and Credit Exemptions: Students who successfully complete two Summer School sessions, totalling six weeks, are eligible for exemptions equivalent to 30 credits in their UoL-EMFSS undergraduate programmes. This allows students to reduce their course load during the academic year.

Academic Experience: Courses are delivered at LSE’s campus in central London. In this international learning environment, students have the opportunity to learn from LSE faculty members and engage with peers from around the world through collaborative coursework and group activities.

Professional Development Seminars: In addition to their coursework, students can participate in academic workshops, practical training sessions and panel discussions. These activities enable them to complement their theoretical knowledge with industry-relevant skills and build an international academic network.
