About the Program
Established in 1997, the Visual Communication Design Undergraduate Program offers a dynamic and interdisciplinary educational framework that responds to the evolving nature of communication. In a context where traditional communication methods are no longer sufficient to meet rapidly changing technological, social, and cultural demands, the program redefines contemporary design education by combining theoretical knowledge, creative thinking, and practical skills.
The program aims to educate designers who are capable of analyzing complex visual problems, thinking systematically, and developing innovative solutions. While emphasizing application and production, the program supports students in developing their individual expression and forming their own design language.
The curriculum covers a wide range of fields, including basic design, multimedia design, publication design, typography, photography and video production, interface and interaction design, game design, animation, information design, and 3D modeling. These areas are structured to enable students to work fluently across both digital technologies and traditional media.
The program not only focuses on technical skill development but also emphasizes critical thinking, conceptual production, and methodological approaches. Throughout their education, students engage in user-centered design processes while considering cultural, social, and historical contexts.
Another key objective of the program is to instill an ethical and sustainable design perspective. Environmental awareness, social responsibility, and global consciousness are integral components of the educational approach.
Graduates of the Visual Communication Design Undergraduate Program pursue careers in creative industries, media, technology, and entrepreneurship. They are equipped to establish their own design practices, contribute to existing organizations, and present their work on both national and international platforms. The program aims to cultivate designers who can adapt to change, think critically, and produce innovative solutions.
