Baykal Sarıoğlu

Research area: Mixed Signal Integrated Circuit Design, Low Power Biomedical System Design, Embedded System Design

Baykal Sarioglu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electical and Electronics Engineering at İstanbul Bilgi University where he has been a faculty member since 2013. He completed his M.S. and Ph.D. at Bogazici University, Istanbul and his undergraduate studies at Kadir Has University, Istanbul with honors. His research interests lie in the area of microelectronics, embedded system design focused on emerging biomedical technologies. He has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines of biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, particularly on designing low power micro-systems for biomedical applications. He enjoys composing music and drawing comic books in his free time.

Research area: Mixed Signal (analog, digital, RF) electronics, VLSI Circuit & System design and implementation, Wireless communication circuits and systems, Ultra-Wideband transceiver technologies

Okan Batur got the MSc and PhD Degrees in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Boğaziçi University in 2006 and 2015 respectively. Then, He started as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at İstanbul Bilgi University, where he has been a faculty member since 2015. His PhD thesis is in VLSI and RF IC design of Robust Ultra-wideband transceivers. He participated to different Turkish research projects including Tubitak and DPT on designing circuit and systems for communication electronics. His domain of interests are telecom applications (e.g. Impulse Radio Ultra-Wideband, ultra-low power sensor nodes, RFIDs, Wireless Power) as well as biomedical applications.
