PRME (Principles of Responsible Management Education)

Istanbul Bilgi University has been a dedicated institution in educating responsible leaders of the future since its foundation in 1996. Deciding to take a more active part in the global initiative of responsible management education in June 2009, the university integrated the UN Principles for Responsible Management Education into its curriculum and research activities. PRME was developed by an international task force of deans, university presidents and official representatives of leading business schools and academic institutions. PRME initiative aims to make management education the hallmark of responsible leadership. It has the capacity to take the case for universal values and business into classrooms on every continent and enhance responsible performance, adaptation to changing demands and competitiveness in the market through PRME working groups, conferences, symposia and forums that are held for these purposes. The Department of Business Administration expressed its commitment to the Principles for Responsible Management Education both at the undergraduate and the graduate level. For it believes that institutions of higher education can help shape the attitudes and behaviour of business leaders through business education, research, management development programs and training.

School Business and Management at Queen Mary, University of London

In addition to various other exchange programs and international links available through the university, Bilgi Organization Studies doctoral program has also close institutional relationship with the PhD program at the School Business and Management at Queen Mary, University of London. Queen Mary and Bilgi indeed formalised their collaboration through the Erasmus mobility programme, which would allow student mobility for one semester (up to 5 months) per academic year starting from the 2011-12 academic year. This institutionalized link therefore aims to facilitate research collaboration between the two programs and also provides opportunities for PhDs candidates to meet academics and students from Queen Mary.
