BİLGİ Textile and Fashion Design Department students win second and third price in the 33rd Koza Young Fashion Designers Competition

Selçuk Durdu and Samet Topuz, students of the Textile and Fashion Design Department at İstanbul Bilgi University's Faculty of Applied Sciences, achieved great success at the 33rd KOZA – Young Fashion Designers Competition, organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) and the İstanbul Apparel Exporters’ Association (İHKİB).
In the competition, organized with the support of the Ministry of Trade for students and alumni of fashion and textile design departments across Turkey, Selçuk Durdu won second place with his collection titled “İstikbal,” while Samet Topuz won third place with his collection titled “Self Sabotage.”
The gala night was held on October 16, 2025, with the participation of leading representatives from the business and fashion worlds. The 10 finalists presented their collections, consisting of 6 garments and complementary accessories, to the final jury at the fashion show. Following the fashion show, the three contestants who created the most successful designs were presented with their awards based on the jury's evaluation.
Held since 1992, the KOZA – Young Fashion Designers Competition is one of the most important platforms connecting young talents aspiring to pursue a career in fashion design with the industry.
