The project titled “Promoting Capital Markets through Multiple Voting Shares in Germany and Turkey” receives TÜBİTAK support

The project titled “Promoting Capital Markets through Multiple Voting Shares in Germany and Turkey” submitted by faculty member Kerem Çelikboya, PhD from the Faculty of Law of our university as the principal investigator, has been selected for funding under TÜBİTAK 2531 – German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Bilateral Cooperation Support Program.

The project is co-led by Prof. Tim Florstedt from EBS University, Germany as the joint principal investigator, while Prof. Gül Okutan Nilsson from the Faculty of Law of our university will serve as a researcher.

Within the scope of the project, the comparative effects of multiple voting shares on companies’ initial public offering processes in Germany and Turkey, as well as potential legal risks, will be examined; the role of these regulations in strengthening capital markets will be analyzed, and the findings will be shared with policymakers and market actors.
