BİLGİ Visual Communication Design Program alumna Merve Çelikkan received the Paribu “Designer of Tomorrow” Second Prize and the Bikem Özsunay Foundation Special Award for Student Project of the Year at the 44th Graphic Design Exhibition, organized by the Association of Professional Graphic Designers, for her graduation project titled “Reverse Ekphrasis.”

Designed under the supervision of Faculty Member Melike Özmen, PhD from BİLGİ Communication Design and Management Department, “Reverse Ekphrasis”is a creative visualization book offering a fresh perspective on the world of poetry.

The project aims to open a new space for experiencing poems through collage and typography, making visible the different interpretations that poetry can inspire through organized workshops, while also examining the transformation of visual poetry from past to present.

Çelikkan received her awards at a ceremony held during the opening of the 44th Graphic Design Exhibition.
