Our Faculty of Law students achieved First Prize at the Ernst Hirsch IP Moot Court Competition

Our Students from the Faculty of Law achieved a significant success at the Ernst Hirsch IP Moot Court Competition organized by Istanbul University Faculty of Law.

The team consisting of Tuana Yıldırım, Zeynep Tuğçe Akkuş, Ecren Polat, and Göktuğ Karaca won the first prize among 40 competing teams. In addition, Zeynep Tuğçe Akkuş was awarded the “Best Counsel” prize. Another team of our Faculty of Law students — Ceren Çetin, Defne Kilitçioğlu, Miray Mutlu, and Deniz Çetin Sevgi — advanced to the oral rounds and, as one of the eight teams, competed in the semifinals, delivering a strong performance.

As Türkiye’s first moot court competition in the field of intellectual property rights, the Ernst Hirsch IP Moot Court Competition aims to help undergraduate law students deepen their expertise in intellectual property law by combining academic knowledge with practical skills.

We sincerely congratulate all our students who successfully represented our University in the competition.
