The Sustainable Buildings Hackathon, organized within the scope of the Türkiye Sustainable Buildings Network Project, was hosted by our Faculty of Architecture and held at our santralistanbul Campus. Co-financed by the European Union, the Türkiye Sustainable Buildings Network Project is led by WRI Türkiye, implemented in partnership with the Zero Energy and Passive House Association (SEPEV), and supported by the Danish Green Growth Network (DGGN).

In the hackathon, where seven teams consisting of a total of 34 students competed over approximately 12 hours, the team including our double major student in Architecture and Interior Design, Gökçe Özdemir, together with Edanur Saklar, İnci Çelikbaş, Meryem Sözüer, and Zeynep Çetinkal, was awarded first prize with their project titled ECO-İZ. The team earned the opportunity, as a prize, to participate in the International Certified Passive House Designer Training.

We sincerely congratulate our student Gökçe Özdemir and her team, and extend our congratulations to all students and mentors who contributed to sustainability by participating in the competition.
