The fourth meeting of the BİLGİ Research Development Innovation Commission was held

The 4th meeting of the İstanbul Bilgi University Research=Development–Innovation (R&D&I) Commission was held on 24 February 2026 at the santralistanbul Campus under the chairmanship of Assoc. Prof. Yiğit Dağhan Gökdel, with the participation of Vice Rector Prof. Ş. Nuray Akın.

During the meeting, the university’s R&D performance, project applications, and support mechanisms were reviewed based on the most recent data, and the results of the TÜBİTAK ARDEB 2025/1 1001 program were analyzed. A presentation was delivered by the BİLGİ Library on enhancing research visibility and citation impact. The current structure of the entrepreneurship ecosystem and related support mechanisms were also discussed.

Feedback provided by the Council of Higher Education Quality Board regarding the R&D area was evaluated, and institutional improvement steps were considered. The Commission continues its efforts to develop research and innovation capacity in line with the university’s strategic objectives.
