Prof. Gonca Günay, Vice-Rector for Research
Prof. Gonca Günay completed her secondary and high school education in 1992 in İzmir American High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the Department of Management at Bilkent University in 1996 and MBA degree from Koç University in 1998. In 2004, she received her PhD degree in Business Administration at Dokuz Eylül University. To conduct her research in the field of management and organization, she had been as a visiting scholar at Columbia Business School in 2006 and Postdoctoral Fulbright Fellow at Harvard Business School in 2010.
She started her academic career as a research assistant at İzmir University of Economics and worked at the same university between 2001-2012, at İstanbul Aydın University between 2012-2013, at İstanbul Bilgi University between 2013-2014, at Kadir Has University between 2014-2015. Since 2015, she has continued her academic studies in the fields of management and organization as a faculty member of İstanbul Bilgi University Department of Business Administration. She has lectured in the fields of management, strategic management, negotiation, creativity and innovation. Her research interests focus on behavioral entrepreneurship and women’s studies.
Assoc. Prof. Yiğit Dağhan Gökdel, Advisor to the Rector
Yiğit Dağhan Gökdel graduated from İstanbul Saint Joseph High School in 1999. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Bilkent University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department in 2004 and received his master’s and PhD degree from Boğaziçi University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department in 2007 and 2011 respectively. He worked at UT-Austin Biomedical Engineering Department as a postdoctoral researcher in 2012. Since 2013, he has been a faculty member at İstanbul Bilgi University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department. His research topics include biomedical and optical microsystems, microelectromechanical systems, and sensor technologies.
Elif Reis, Technology Transfer Office Manager
Elif Reis completed her undergraduate education at the University of Minnesota in the USA in 2010, double majoring in English Literature and Cultural Studies with the Global Excellence scholarship the University of Minnesota awarded her. From 2013 to 2018, she worked as a researcher at the Center for Turkish Cinema Studies, a project funded by the Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA) and the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Cinema. In 2018, Elif started working as a Sponsored Projects Specialist at the Istanbul Sehir University Technology Transfer Office, supported by the TÜBİTAK 1513 - Technology Transfer Offices Support Program. She guided and supported researchers in the developing, managing, and financial reporting processes of various national and international projects. In 2021, she joined the Istanbul Bilgi University Technology Transfer Office team. As of 2023, Elif continues to work as the Manager of the Istanbul Bilgi University Technology Transfer Office while also pursuing her graduate studies in the Cultural Studies Program at Istanbul Bilgi University.
Melis Zeybek, Technology Transfer Office Project Specialist
Melis Zeybek, graduated from the Business Administration Undergraduate Program at Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBU) Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 2018. She carried out the "Organ Donation Awareness" project with the support of MCBU Faculty of Medicine and Manisa Provincial Health Directorate. In 2019, he worked as an assistant financial affairs specialist at Darüşşafaka Association with the First Chance Program developed and supported by Esas Sosyal, a subsidiary of ESAS Holding. Within the scope of the program, she collaborated with many non-governmental organizations and participated in aid projects carried out in the field of civil society, and also completed the 21st Century Competencies and Mentoring trainings. She works as a project specialist at Istanbul Bilgi University Technology Transfer Office. She supports training, promotion and awareness raising activities, all administrative processes of the projects and the execution of funded projects.
Çiğdem Ezer, Technology Transfer Office Project Specialist
Çiğdem Ezer is graduated from the Business Administration Undergraduate Program at Uludağ University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 2000.
Thereafter, she took part as manager in home textile, tourism&hospitality, education sectors. Her responsibility areas commercial & operational process and team management, risk management, marketing, sales , promotion and fair activities, business development and fund raising.
She established her own company and merchandized of special silk fabrics by working with an Indian manufacturer between 2006 and 2009.
Due to the fluctuations in the economy, she directed her carrier aim to the world of grant programs and funds, including The European Union, Development Agencies and other grant programs.
She worked with Şile Municipality, Ataşehir Municipality, Haymana Municipality, Beylikdüzü Municipality in local and regional economic and social development-oriented projects. She played an active role in the successful conclusion of the projects, either by taking part in the key staff or by counselling. She also provided process and contract management in an international investment project.
She is an International English Language Trainer with Tesol Diploma and also an ICF (International Coaching Federation) certified Holistic Life Coach. She has received personal and professional trainings on a wide variety of subjects.
She is responsible for carrying out University-Industry Collaboration Program at the Technology Transfer Office.
Hilal Mula, Project Accountant
Hilal Mula worked in İstanbul Bilgi University Press between 2008-2010. She worked in İstanbul Bilgi University Financial Planning and Analysis Department between 2010-2011. Since 2013, she has been working in Financial Accounting Department and responsible from accounting and financial reporting processes of all internally and externally funded projects.
