PERİHAN ÇAYIREZMEZ

Perihan Çayırezmez graduated from Middle East Technical University, Foreign Language Education, English Language Teaching Department. She has an M.A degree on Foreign Language Teaching from Hacettepe University. Also, she holds an E-Moderation Certificate from The Consultants-E. Perihan Çayırezmez has been in the field of ELT since 1997. In addition to teaching, she has taken on other responsibilities, such as working as a curriculum and test advisor, team leader, mentor, and online teaching pedagogical consultant. She took part in EAQUALS (The European Association for Quality Language Service) accreditation committee as a Preparatory Program Curriculum Advisor. She was also a member of the steering committee of CEA, Commission on English Language Program Accreditation. In addition, between 2015-2020 she was a Pedagogical Consultant at İstanbul Bilgi University Distance Education Center (UZEM) and provided one-on-one support for the faculty members with their fully online and blended course designs and delivered workshops to empower them. Currently, she is working as a teacher and a teacher trainer in the English Language Programs Preparatory School at İstanbul Bilgi University (İBU). She has been designing and teaching fully online and blended elective courses at GE (General Education) program and ELT courses at the department of English Language Teacher Education at İBU. She is one of the authors of teaching guide prepared by Bilgi Educational Effectiveness Center. She believes in the idea of life-long learning. She is particularly interested in teacher education and development, online and face-to-face curriculum and material development, educational psychology, skills and strategy training and online teaching and course design.


FATMA ERDEN

Fatma Erden graduated from Istanbul University, English Language Teaching Department in 2002.She has ICELT qualification from International Training House and she took part in Teacher Trainer Education Program from SLTEP in 2014. She holds an M.A on English Language Teaching. Fatma Erden has been working in the field since 2000. Also, she holds an E-Moderation Certificate from The Consultants-E. She has taken on different responsibilities as an instructor, mentor and teacher trainer throughout her career. She delivered Morphology and Linguistics courses for Distance English Language Teaching Program students. She is currently working as an instructor and a teacher trainer in English Language Programs Preparatory School at İstanbul Bilgi University. She has given workshops at Istanbul Bilgi University and IATEFL Conference in Birmingham in 2016. She is teaching in the department of English Language Teacher Education at İBU. She is interested in teacher education and development, learner autonomy and teacher motivation.


ŞEBNEM YILMAZ

Şebnem Yılmaz graduated from Marmara University, English Language Teaching Department in 1999. She has a CELTA qualification from International House in Barcelona. She is also a DELTA certified teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience in the field. She received a certificate on Inquiry Based Learning in the International Classroom upon completion of a course offered by Teachers Training Center in London in 2015. She is currently working on her MA thesis on Reformulation and Noticing Tasks on the Improvement of Grammatical Accuracy, in Yeditepe University, English Language Teaching Department. She became involved in the mentorship and buddy programs for newly hired instructors shortly after she had become a member of BEPP due to her teaching and educational qualifications. She is currently working as an instructor and a teacher trainer in English Language Programs Preparatory School at İstanbul Bilgi University. She is interested in teacher education and development, inquiry based learning and cognitive involvement through noticing tasks..


JAMES SMART

James Smart joined BEPP in 2013. He graduated from Northampton University in 2000, is DELTA qualified and has been in the field of ELT since 2005. He has been a CELTA teacher trainer since 2010, training new teachers in seven different countries. As a CELTA trainer he delivers teacher training workshops to help English teachers maximize their potential.
