Human Rights Law and Research Center
2018 ASOS-KADAV Gender Programme (December 2017-June 2018) ASOS in Turkey has collaborated with Women’s Solidarity Foundation (KADAV) in order to implement its .The Gender Programme to improve working conditions of women who work for manufacturers of ASOS in Turkey was initiated by ASOS and impelemented in collaboration with Women's Solidarity Foundation (KADAV). The programme aims to improve women workers’ access to remedy through internal and external mechanisms as well as to increase the level of their contribution to improve working conditions. Human Rights Law and research Center contributed to the project with the evaluation and impact assessment of the training programme conducted and reported by the Lecturer Burcu Yeşiladalı from Istanbul Bilgi University Human Rights Law Research Center. 
2018 Free-of-Charge Legal Assistance Network (Pro Bono) (2006- …)  Istanbul Bilgi University Human Rights Law Research Center has been running a pro bono aid network since 2006. Just like its predecessors abroad, lawyers work voluntarily. Free legal advice is offered to the non-governmental organizations that have meager means to pay for a lawyer, sometimes individual applicants are channeled through these NGOs for legal advice. In a sense, this is a work the lawyers carry out in parallel with their social responsibility.  There are many law offices in different countries which provide similar services and international forums are realized in this regard.                                                                                        (For more information: https://probono.bilgi.edu.tr/en/).

2018 Strengthening Women’s Access to Justice Project (July 2018-July 2019) The project implemented by a collaboration between Purple Roof Women's Shelter Foundation and Istanbul Bilgi University Human Rights Law and Research Center, aims to    increase the level of knowledge, skills and awareness of lawyers on international conventions, national legislation and practice in the field of violence against women and improve the quality of legal aid they proide for women who are subject to violence and discrimination and this way to strengthen access to justice mechanisms for that women.  Within the framework of the project, four seminars were organized on the “Legislation on Combating Discrimination and Violence against Women” targeting 100 female lawyers registered at the bar associations of İstanbul, Bursa, Eskişehir and Trabzon.  
2018 Human Rights Law Summer School at Bilgi-IV (16-24 July 2018) The aim of the Summer School which has been implemented by Human Rights and Law Research Center since 2015, is to raise the level of knowledge of participants on human rights issues in the world and Turkey that are of vital importance issues. The Summer School targets law students who are eager to enhance their knowledge and skills as well as to conduct research in the field of human rights law.
Cultural Policy and Management Research Center
2018 Effects of Social and Economic Conditions on Copyrights  The project which has started in November 2018, is a research project called "Effects of Social and Economic Conditions on Copyrights", to be carried out for and reported to the General Directorate of Copyright in T.C. Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The main research question of this project is about the effects of socio-economic conditions on copyrights.  Taking the present copyright laws, leigislations and practices and the preparotory process for a new copyright law in our country into consideration, it becomes very crucial to identify present situation of copyright issues as a basis for future studies and operations, which is one of the objectives of this project. Socio-economic conditions and other multidemensional isseues related with copyrights throughout the world and in Turkey, are considered as the main variables of the report.  
2018 Art Management Research and Training Proect for Performance Arts Professionals from Bursa, Nilüfer Municipality City Theater    This research and training project aims to provide institutional support for the followimg item under Strategic Objective Headline in the strategic plan of Nilüfer Municipality City Theater : "Defining the labour-force, knowledge and competence that will implement the strategic plan of the municipality, conducting all activities aimed at managing and improving the performance and potential of the employees for these purposes". 
2018 Cultural Planning for Esenler Municipality Cltural Planning Report for Esenler Municipality designed  with an objective to increase the frequency of and diversify the ways of towners' participation in art and cultural activities was prepared by dwelling on objectives and strategies deriving from realistic needs, problems and opportunities. The final report was submitted to Esenler Muniipality Directorate of Culture in June 2018.

2018 Roma and Migrant School-Children in the scope of Inclusive Education  In the scope of the project, policy proposals have been developed about how to overcome the problems Roma and migrant children face at schools with inclus,ve education approaches. 
2018 Equal Participation in Education: Educational Strategies for LGBTI Rights Project In the scope of the project, experiences of/ narratives about discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in educational settings were collected and strategies developed to deal with this type of discrimination were gathered together. 
2018 Right to Education of People with Disabilities:     Together at School, Together in Life  The purpose of this project is to contribute for equal participation of people with disabilities in education and to ensure integration of children with and without disabilities.  To change teachers' and parents' attitudes about disability is another objective of the project.  
2018 Civil Society and Education Communities in the Scope of Social Inclusion  The objective of the project is to develop a model to support unaccompanied refugee children in the period of transition to adulthood,  by making use of the related experiences in different countries.  
2018 Teachers Network Our center has transformed SEÇBİR talks held once in every two weeks on education-related issues in Turkey and the world, into a collaborative project wih Teachers Network.  Through this way, the project has been supporting teachers' personal and professional development. Symposiums held with Teachers Network are also a part of this collaboration.  
Center for Migration Research
2018 Social Entrepreneurship, Refugees and Urban Transformation in Turkey  In the scope of this project, places used by refugees to  improve their skills and to access sustainable income sources as social entrepreneurs, are going to be explored to cretae a comprehensive database.     Another aim of the project is to find out how these social initiatives could be supported by public and civil society agencies to make more effective contributions to the integration processes of refugees.  
2018 Çukurova Region - Social Infrastructure     Analyses  This research project is designed to improve social infrastructure in Adana and Mersin, which are cities situated in Çukurova Development Agency's region of responsibility. In the scope of this project, the subjective and objective criteria determining the state of well-being of the citizens living in Çukurova region are going to be identified. After analyses of data collected at micro level , actions to improve social infrasturture in short and medium terms will be determined on the basis of prioritization of the assessed needs.
2018 Network on Seasonal Labour Migration A network designed to increase the communication between researchers and academicians,  local, national and international public and private organizations, NGOs and the representatives of affiliated social parties, and individuals working on seasonal labor migration in Turkey; to support partnerships; to collect information on the topic; to create awareness and to recommend social policies. 
2018 Migration Awareness In this project it is aimed to disseminate information and raise awareness about immigrants/refugees in Turkey and to decrease prejudices abut them.  In this scope, visual lecture/training modules and videos will be developed, to be used especially in classes for university students and in in-company trainings within different organization such as private sector companies, municipalities,political parties and NGOs. Alongside of the videos, a bibliography and manuals will be produced to assist the implementation process. 
2018 Living Together Roundtable Meeting Series  Successive meetings to be arranged with fieldworkers who are directly working with refugees in different municipalities and NGO's in Istanbul, will focus on the experiences fieldworkers have, challanges they face and best practices they want to share.  Through these meetings it is aimed to bring up the achievements of the projects carried out in this field into the agenda and thus to make the needs and demands of all the partners in the process more visible.

2018 Horizon 2020 CoHERE: Critical Cultural Heritage  This research project aims to examine and identify how right wing populist parties in EU countries and Turkey have been making use of history and cultural heritage, through interviews with voters of these parties and analyses of the party programs.  The main objective of this research is to identify what kind of policies, strategies and activities have to be implemented in museums, exhbitions and other places where cultural heritage is displayed, to build a more peaceful and integrated social life so that diversities could coexist in a more inclusive and peacuful public space.  
2018 Horizon 2020 RESPOND: Multilevel Governance of Mass Migration in Europe and Beyond This research project aims to contribute to the development of refugee policies at local and national levels in Turkey, by collecting in-depth information through field studies about processes of reception, protection and integration of refugees. It is a cross-country comparative research with the aim of enhancing governance capacity and policy coherance of the EU, its member states and third countries, including Germany, France, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Italy, England , Turkey, Lebanon and Iraq. 
2018 Horizon 2020 FEUTURE: Feature of Eu-Turkey Relations FEUTURE (Future of EU-Turkey Relations) Project, reveals the narratives of the EU-Turkey relationship, dynamics of change,     the likely scenario(s) for the future, and the political implications these may have on the EU and Turkey, as well as the neighbourhood and the global scene. In forward-looking terms with studies based on strongly reliable indicators, FEUTURE Project, will contribute to the evidence-based knowledge base focusing on the external environment of EU, from which the future trajectory of EU-Turkey relations may be drawn in medium and long terms.

2018 Social Incubation Center Social Incubition Center has been working as a center which provides support for right based grass roots NGOs and citizen initiatives to increase their capacities. The center is offering office space, financial aid, training/workshop, networking and mentoring opportunities for NGOs and citizen initiatives participating in its programs
2018 Prevention of Child Labor It is a project including research and model development activities to prevent child labor.
2018 Europe-Turkey Civil Society Exchange Program  Civil Society Exchange is a program designed for civil society organizations and civil initiatives from Turkey and Europe. It supports the idea of a unified Europe through cross-border cooperation. It encourages civil society organizations to form and foster partnerships between Turkey and Europe and to work together in those partnerships on capacity building models and aims to strengthen the capacity of civil society by providing mobility and a space for mutual learning
2018  Young Voices 2018 This project which has been carried out since 2014, aims to raise awareness about child participation and to foster experience sharing/networking activities and collaboration between Turkey and Sweden in this regard.

2018-2019 Networking and Training Project for independent resarchers and NGOs working on cultural plurality in Turkey: Etnography and Oral History Methodology Training and Platform Building The project aims to improve capacities of non-academic researchers in Marmara region, who are working about cultures of Turkey, by providing them opportunities to relate with each other through establishing working groups and network platforms and  by empowering them through trainings. By this way, it is aimed to improve the quality of studies about cultures of Turkey and promote intercultural dialogue. It will also contribute to increase the number of qualified studies based on factual information, conducted by individuals and institutions working on different cultures and about cultural plurality in general and thus it will help to increase the visibility of cultural plurality both in daily life and in politics and economy.  
2017-2018 Mapping and Enhancing the Civil Society Agencies of Cultural Plurality in İstanbul (MECSACPI): Inventoring, Networking, Training and Advocacy for Minority Cultures This project aims to take an inventory of different agencies in Istanbul (NGOs, Associations, Individual people, media organs and agencies etc.)  working on cultures of Turkey;  to gather and analyze information about these agencies and to raise awareness among them about cultures of Turkey and their rights.  The project also aims to establish links between different studies and practices carried out in a very compartmentalized  fashion and to increase information and awareness of different cultures about each other,  thus one of the project objectives is to develop different resources and methodologies to accomplish this. In this scope,  research studis and workshops are planned to be carried out, online materials where research results and different resources are shared, are proposed to be developed and a festival and an exhibition will be organized throughout the project.

2018 NGO Invitation / To support social service centers in the scope of ASP protective and preventive services   To improve the efficiency and accessibility of protective and preventive services provided for refugees under temporary protection by personnels in the social service centers. 
2018 (CARE PLUS Project) Capacity Building for Refugee Mental Health PLUS    / ( As a Follow up of CARE Project ) To improve capacities of psychiatric care specialists working in community based psycho-scoial support center established in different cities of Turkey.
