Workshop on Meaningful Work II

Workshop on Meaningful Work II

Date: October 23, 2025

Place: santralistanbul Campus

Organized by the İstanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Business.

Research underscores the powerful role of meaningful work in fostering employee well-being and personal development. Beyond financial rewards, meaningful work offers a sense of purpose and spiritual fulfillment, contributing to greater self-worth, psychological resilience, job satisfaction, and a stronger connection to one’s organization. It plays a vital role in supporting the holistic growth of individuals in professional settings.

This one-day workshop will examine how meaning is constructed and experienced through various work-related activities. We invite empirical papers that explore themes such as meaningful work, calling, moral alignment, thriving at work, and psychological empowerment. Submissions may approach the topic from individual or organizational perspectives, with the aim of deepening our understanding of how work becomes a source of meaning in contemporary contexts.
